Watch Box Privacy Policy
Last updated: November 7, 2026
This policy covers the Watch Box browser extension (for Chrome and Microsoft Edge) and the Watch Box app for Mac. The short version: Watch Box does not collect, store or share any information about you.
What we collect
Nothing. Watch Box has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. It does not send any data to us or to anyone else.
What stays on your computer
- The extension remembers which of your tabs are currently popped out, only while your browser is open, so the windows keep working. This is cleared when the browser closes.
- The Mac app keeps the websites you sign in to signed in, the same way a web browser does. That information stays in the app’s own folder on your Mac and is never sent to us.
Websites you watch
When you pop out a video, the website keeps running in its own window, exactly as it would in a normal browser tab. Those websites have their own privacy policies, which apply to what you do on them. Watch Box does not read, copy or record the videos or pages you watch.
Permissions
The extension asks for access to the sites you visit only so it can find the video on the page you choose to pop out and add its playback controls. It acts only on tabs you pop out, and nothing it sees ever leaves your computer.
Children
Watch Box does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
